Taxidermy publication opinions

yahoo question
I asked the question

"What is your opinion on Taxidermy?"

on Yahoo Answers and already four people have replied.

1. I think it is an art which has not got proper recognition.
Further I believe that very soon zoos will cease to exist, because now children do not have to see to know about animals, birds, etc. We have coverage of these in media. Taxidermy will help here as people will be able to see the real thing too.

2. Because it is a craft that involves handling animal bodies, parts, and skins, it is often considered degraded by the very people who can afford to and want to use it to preserve and present evidence of their hunting and fishing activities. Most taxidermists, in my uneducated judgement, function at a lower economic level in a rural environment because of the need to be in contact with the majority of the people that supply small scale work. Saying that another way, a taxidermist in Junction Texas or Bemidji MN is going to have regular work from hunters with an occasional deer, and more frequent smaller animals or deer heads as well as fish; one in Florida will have many smaller fish to mount and an occasional big one. Someone wanting to have a mounting of a larger predator, African hunting kill, Grizzly bear or museum exhibit - a big job - will probably have to travel to the rural area sustaining the career rather than finding a taxidermist in the heart of a big city.
(MASSIVE ANSWER)

3. I like it and have several birds, animals and fish. There are strict laws in UK controlling it and rightly so.

4. All I can say is you can stuff it.

5. If the animal died of natural causes, no issue whatsoever. If the animal was killed for the purpose of putting on display as a trophy then I don't like it.

6. It's okay to catch fish as a trophy!
