In response to my email this week, Annie for the white cloth gallery she invited us down to chat about possible dates and to have a look around.
Overall the rooms were very stylish and I could see as a place which would be nice to stay.
There are 4 rooms to the Gallery:
1. the bar areas when you walk in.
2. the exhibition space & the cafe.
3. professional gallery space with tables in to hold meetings during the day. both room 3 & 4 are also used to hold paid events (weddings, business gatherings, birthdays, etc)
4. another room with the same professional exhibition.
Our Exhibition
The dates she suggested where of January.
for putting up the work. and the Wednesday for the launch night. The exhibition will be brought down on the of January.
The exhibition is free. The bar will be open till 10pm on week days (11pm of it is busy).
Their ethos is trying to bridge the gap between professional exhibitions and students.
The rationale me and Steph wrote still applies as this is a exhibition proposal.
For the real exhibition in January: it will have the same branding, the same timeline concept and poster. Apart from this exhibition we will photograph all of the work submitted and create a publication for the white cloth gallery. Annie said we can have posters and publications for the event up the whole time.
Below is just a example of their publication to showcase their professional exhibitions:
