Taxidermy initial designing

So I'v started designin a lot later than I wanted to, but this crit on Thursday meant I wanted to work on other projects as well so I would have all round feedback on my work. This is the first day when I will start the layout of the publication and I want to sent it of Thursday night or Friday day which gives it 3 weeks until hand in (it only takes 5 days to print and post).
I started by cutting the content by half as there was too much writing. I know a tabloid newspaper has to have at least a 10pt size for bulk text.
Below is a issuu of me editing the content and correcting grammar issues.
I thought I had sorted out Typefaces. But I hadn't done it thoroughly enough. Below is me printing of typefaces and real content in the same size column as the final product. This helped me see the sizes in relation to each other and is a good indication of how it will look printed off.
There are some initial screen-shots of me figuring out what point size, typefaces and tracking I should use. I feel like now I have completely nailed the type of this Tatterton pages. It is simply now layout with images, plus and 2 double spreads that I am drawing for.
I found it so hard trying to chose a typeface to complement Garamond. I knew I wanted a circular bold block font but I couldn't find it anywhere. This is CODE and Neutraface. Then I remembered GOTHAM!!!!
I wanted to use Garamond 10pt on 13pt tracking. As you can see by the image just about here because the gird is 12pt. the text did not fit. I printed it out and saw that 9.5pt on 12pt looked even better and fits with my baseline grid.
Not sure what image of Gary to use. I went with the landscape as the majority of the image is focused on the Stag's head. I feel this works better as a composition as well.
Initial layout. I am now going to bed.

Type guidelines:
Body Text: Garamond 9.5pt on 12pt spacing
Other font: Gotham 9pt on 12pt spacing.
Image description: Gotham 6.5pt
