Dan's Business Cards: Final

I spent from 1pm - 3pm trying to lazer cut. My slot was at 2pm and I couldn't start untill the person before me finished, that was at 3pm. So I only had 30pm till I had to get the hired cameras for Sundays MHG shoot. I don't know why, but the lazer cutter was burning all of my stock and any setting of Kiss-cut would brun through the whole paper, even on tissue and tracing paper.

Here are the mock-ups I did earlier in the week.

All the lazer cutting of Dan's details burnt straight through the paper. On some whole letters fell away.

After about 45minutes of experimenting I thought that over 'wHITECARD', paper, tissue paper, tracing paper, cartridge .2 / .3 / .25 and thick card, thin card was the best. I still don't understand why this has happened, but no one was around to ask. I think I may propose embossing the text, but at the moment Dan needs these cards for Monday as he has a audition in London for a cruise covers band, fingers crossed.

I feel like I did as best as I could, here are final outcomes.
35 business cards 85x55mm
Half 250gsm white card.
lazer cut style:small and large circle on wHITECARD, kiss cut. drumsticks on Cartridge .25.

Antique white paper 120gsm
kiss-cut on thin card

with a added plain antique white paper in the middle to block out the holes in each design.

The outcome: some thick crisp looking business cards, very happy.
