The Posters
Business Cards
Using 9 colours in the stencils to brand Dan. I wasn't sure what colours to use, I make 11 and decided that the variety was nice and gave the idea that you have something more valuable. The stock is from Muji originally meant to be used for origami, thin 60 gsm and varying 20 colours.
I still really like the original burnt in paper lazer cut business cards, but these defiantly show off my craft skills. For the type information I wanted to use a neutral colour, but not black. Brown links directly to Dan's drum kit, the stock is bulky news print 210gsm. The type works well with any coloured front. I am going to create a batch of 30 to see how the production line will work, but these are defiantly my final designs and something that Dan loves too.
Letterhead
Choosing between three different stock colours
Dust Grey
Bright White
Antique Cream
For me grey doesn't fit in as well with the Dan Brand. I really like the off brown, but I feel the white looks great with the business cards. The stock in faintly lined, so it has detail and looks interesting. For me the mix of white and antique is best.
The Chosen Final
With the letters Dan will attach a business Card to the top if they are a new client and have not been given one before. This gives Dan's contact details as I do not want to add Dan's address to the letterhead as it is obviously a house address not a studio. This also ties the brand all together.
Notebooks
I had a great idea to expand the Dan C brand. I wanted to create notebooks that are branded with Dan's logo that could be used by students to notate their music. It will have Dan's details inside the pages and his logo on the front cover. There would be two variation one A4 large book with 80gsm white spreads. The other would be a smaller A5 book, same cover and logo on the front, but the stock would be 250gsm Cartridge paper with the intention that they can be used several times, rubbed out and used again. These A5 notebooks could be used whilst traveling, places where you wouldn't carry the larger A5 version.
Stickers
Going to get some circle 10 x 10cm stickers printed with James next week to add to the brand, used on letters and promotion. The designs will be different variations of Dan's logo.
