Video of Dan

The gain was turned on when filming ALL of the footage (I'm sure it wasn't but all the footage is grainy and fuzzy). I needed to alter the white balance every time I move the camera or every time the lighting from outside changed. 

I showed Matt the photographic style Andy showed me today and asked how do I get the same depth of field? He said he'd show me on Monday how to create it on the Sony EX1. He said however that the depth effect works best when recording on digital SLR's (which they do now have in uni) as you can change the lens  To create the depth effect with the camera I am using I will have to put more distance between 'Dan & the drums' and the background / object I want to blur. Basically I have to use the macro tool.

When trying to export a video of Dan after messing with editing it took 25minutes. Matt said this is normal. 25min x 6 videos! Another time burner. However I could always design whilst down stairs waiting for the project to export.

Matt showed me the basics of Final Cut Pro. The canvas, the play and the timeline. Most things are general computer knowledge: zoom is cmd & +, etc. I found it each fiddling with layers and cutting filming with another.
