Logo development: Dan C

Applied to different situations I think you can really begin to understand how a brand can work.
I think I agree with Dan's chose of fonts, although initially I would never put a serif with the drum design, I think they work well together. It seems fun and thought out, but also the Serif shows dan's professionalism and character. Naturally I would associate Daniel Chappell with a serif font, but not a drummer. I will show Dan as ask for a final decision on what he likes best.

When applying the logo and text to photographs in Illustrator it looked very pixelated but I am pleased with the outcome. I tried to make the logo and text more legible by layering black version with white on top, this means some of the image is not lost to the background (photograph). Some photographs are too bright with dark spots and vise versa. I would have to be selective with images.

For final business cards I would only use images on the website, as some of these taken from Star now are very old, dated and not as professional as I wish.
