Light night, #getstuffed12

At my placement Box-head* today they mentioned a Taxidermy photo shoot at Light Night tonight! You can get you photograph taken by a professional photographer with a chosen piece of Taxidermy.

Last July

Armley Mills Leeds Industrial Museum had a huge collection of Taxidermy, they made the cases child-friendly and decided to team up with artists Lord Whitney and recruited 10 West Leeds families for a truly unique project for this year's I Love West Leeds Festival.

Each household chose an animal from a list and invited it to come and stay. The animals packed their bags and set off from Artemis in Holbeck to the wilds of West Leeds. They carried with them a beautiful education and activity pack, handmade by Lord Whitney, containing a specially commissioned animal illustration by Kris Sale and giving facts about the animal and suggesting activities to do.

Lord Whitney and photographer Liam Henry visited each home to set up and take a quirky formal photographic portrait of each family with their animal.

Pack received by each family along with the 'easy care' pet.
The family portrait photographs were displayed in the Carriageworks in Leeds with all the Taxidermy pets, you could choose a animal and have a photograph which will be uploaded to this site at a later.

Not really sure how relevant this is to my research, but it is noce to see that Taxidermy is being thought of.
